Find Your Career Passion

To find a job your truly passionate about is what everyone dreams of. But how exactly can you make this dream into a reality? First, you must find what it is that makes you feel most alive. Answering this question requires a significant amount of time devoted to personal reflection. Dalai Lama was once asked, “What advice would you give to young adults to create a brighter future?” He paused in contemplation and responded, “To take some time to critically assess what is wrong with the world and utilize the talents you have to alleviate those wrongs.”

To utilize your talents in finding a career you’re truly passionate is a key priority in assessing your ideal career path. In order to ignite this passion into creating a more illuminating and positive world, you must take the time to contemplate and answer these questions:

What makes me happy?
What adjectives would people who know me use to describe me?
What are my core values in life?
What is the definition of success?
What things at work am I good in accomplishing?
What things at work do I hate?
What do I want to be known for?

Answering these questions will gain a better understanding of what your passions are and will help you assess a clearer picture of what you can do to apply this to a fulfilling career. Remember that living a life filled with passion is something that must be earned. To be who you are and become what you are capable of is the only goal worth living.

Find your fire and ignite it.
